About the Challenge

The German-American Heritage Foundation of the USA is opening the first national German-American Heritage Museum in Washington, DC on March 21, 2010. As their project manager, I am supporting the GAHF to launch the museum in Washington’s prime cultural district – Chinatown. Located in the heart of Chinatown at 719 6th Street NW in Washington, DC, the museum is close to many promising lunch venues. While being on the run to prepare for the Grand Opening, I figured, I might as well add some fun to my lunch breaks.

My Challenge: Explore the culinary range of Washington’s Chinatown and find the best places for hard-working professionals to grab something to eat in this area.

What I’m looking for:

  • I’m a young professional. And guess what, I’m on a tight budget. So I am looking for affordable but still delicious lunch meals.
  • I’m European. I like to eat a good and substantial meal for lunch.
  • Give me some rest: I am spending at least eight ours in my office, so for lunch I’d love to sit down and relax over lunch.

So come and join me on my 2-month journey through the culinary lunch world of Washington’s Chinatown.
